65° youth rally

President FICC Youth Commission

"Dear Participants,
It is a pleasure to welcome you and your friends here to the 65th FICC Youth Rally located in Sorrento, Italy. This is a beautiful part of the world as I’m sure you will have already discovered. In this area, there are many things to see and do. From the beautiful Capri Island and Pompeii to Villaggio Campeggio Santa Fortunata’s extensive facilities, I am sure there is something for everyone. Within Sorrento itself, there is plenty of opportunity to shop and dine. I am satisfied that you will have a good time here.

I also hope that while you are here, you will rekindle old friendships and make new ones too. After all, this is one of the fundamentals of camping. I look forward to seeing you here in Sorrento and may this be the best Youth Rally yet!

Remember – No sleep till Monday!”

Kind regards,
Andy Wilson

The Mayor

"Sorrento is delighted to welcome the participants of the 65th FICC Youth Rally organised by the Italian Campers Federation to the Land of the Sirens. The heartfelt welcome I offer is both a personal one and that of the entire city. We are convinced that our area will be up to the task of offering special moments to each of you and that the Sorrentines themselves will show all of the human warmth that is the expression of the hospitality tradition of this region. We have a special wish we always communicate to our visitors here: may you come as a tourist, but take your leave as one of the family. And this is the same feeling we wish to express to all of the many FICC campers as they visit the City of Tasso for the first time, as well as to those who have been here in the past. We sincerely hope that when you explore the beauty of our nature, our history and the art our region offers, your enthusiasm will lead you to plan future visits to Sorrento."

The President of the Province of Naples

"As President of the Province of Naples, I am especially proud and honoured to welcome all of you who will come here to participate in the 65th FICC Youth Rally. This event will be an important one for all of the young people that will reach us from all over the world, and a great occasion to let so many new visitors discover the beauty of our province. Next year, from 2 to 6 April, the Santa Fortunata Campogaio in Sorrento will host a meeting of young people in this lovely city on the Sorrentine Peninsula in tents and caravans. The warm hospitality offered by our citizens is famous the world over, as is the beauty of our landscapes, archaeology and culture. Hospitality and the “good life” is a lifestyle here. In Sorrento, like in the many other towns along the Amalfi Coast and in our province, the Rally participants will get a chance to admire and feel like a vital part of a remarkable blend of art, breathtaking views, historical remains and, of course, our great culinary tradition and wines. It promises to be an experience that will, I am sure, linger in their hearts for a long time to come and plant the seeds for a return trip in the future."

"Welcome to Sorrento,
an enchanting city that is known the world over, especially by young people. The City of Sorrento would also like to welcome all of you who plan to participate in the 65th FICC Youth Rally, which will take place at the Santa Fortunata campgrounds from 2 to 6 April, 2015. In the name of the Italian Camping Federation I would like to thank the FICC National Assembly for having chosen Sorrento, and Andy Wilson, President of the FICC Youth Commission, for approving the Italian proposal. Confedercampeggio will, on this occasion, also celebrate the 65th anniversary of its foundation. Sorrento can be reached by a variety of means and we are planning special shuttle bus services to pick participants up at the international airports of Naples and Rome. Confedercampeggio would like offer everyone the chance to visit the Amalfi Coast (Positano, Ravello, Amalfi), as well as Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius and the enchanting island of Capri, while they are here."
